Grandma's Apple Pie

Ingredients: – 2 pie crust – 6-7 medium-sized apple – 3/4 cup granulated sugar – 2 tbsp all-purpose flour – 1 tsp ground cinnamon

– 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg – 1 tbsp lemon juice – 2 tbsp unsalted butter – 1 egg (for egg wash) – Optional: additional sugar and cinnamon for sprinkling

Instructions: 1. Prepare pie crust and preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). 2. Mix sliced apples with sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.

3. Fill bottom pie crust with apple mixture and dot with butter. 4. Place top crust over filling, seal edges, and vent the top.

5. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. 6. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden and bubbly.
